Mrs. Jeppson

Meet one of our Physical Education and Health teachers:

Mrs. Jeppson started working at MTSD in 2017. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Montclair State University and  her Master’s degree in Special Education from Centenary University. Currently, Mrs. Jeppson teaches Health and Physical Education, which most students refer to as “Gym” class. In the past, Mrs. Jeppson taught Middle School Health and Physical Education at Mount Olive Middle School and has also taught fifth and sixth grade Health and Physical Education at Lincoln Roosevelt School in Roxbury Township.

When Mrs. Jeppson is not at school, she participates in many activities and sports. She loves playing competitive coed  soccer, flag football and kickball with her teammates. When Mrs. Jeppson is not on the field, you will find her on the slopes snowboarding with her students who partake in Ski Club. She also enjoys tap dancing and performing in the yearly recital. When she is not  active in her competitive sports, she likes to golf with her husband, Officer Jeppson.  As for a bit of trivia, you may not know is that Mrs. Jeppson is a fraternal triplet with a brother and sister!

Mrs. Kent

Meet a member of our First Grade team:

Mrs. Kent started working at MTSD in 2013. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Elementary Education from Moravian University and a MEd in Educational Practices from Centenary University. She is currently finishing up her MEd in Literacy Instruction and Supervision. After four years of teaching third grade, Mrs. Kent moved to first grade where she currently teaches. She would tell you that first grade is her “happy place”! In the past, Mrs. Kent has held a leadership position as a lead teacher in ELA from 2019-2021.

Mrs. Kent grew up in Easton, PA and, after accepting a job at Mansfield Elementary, moved to New Jersey. She currently resides in Phillipsburg, NJ with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, starting a new project around the house, and spending time outside reading a book! You can also find her researching a new healthy recipe to try out or riding her Peloton.

Ms. Cagnassola

Meet our instrumental music instructor:

Ms. Cagnassola started working at MTSD in January 2020.   She has a BA degree in Music Education from Montclair State University and a MA in Music Education/Performance from Montclair State U as well as her K-8 Certification.  Currently, she is the Instrumental Music teacher for grades 4-6 at MTSD.  In the past, she has taught General, Vocal, and Instrumental music,  in the Chester school district, at Mendham High School, and Hope Township School District.  Ms. Cagnassola is the choreographer and music director for the Warren Hills Drama Club and has been for the past 7 years, helping to produce some incredible spring musicals.  She loves all things music and musical theater.

Ms. Cagnassola has been blessed to raise her 4 children, here in Mansfield.  Her children are Kaileigh, 18 – Dance Performance Major at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Ryan,16 _ Warren Hills HS, Abby 14, and Julia 14 – Warren Hills MS – all graduates of MTSD.    In her free time she likes to spend time with her kids, hiking, kayaking, singing in Hilltop Oratorio Society, reading, going to the gym, and taking walks with her two dogs Chloe and Oliver.

Ms. Cagnassola’s favorite animal is a manatee and their favorite subjects in school are MUSIC and Language Arts.   She loves being a teacher.
